10 Months Old & Growing

Emma turned 10 months old recently.  Her Pop took her to a well-visit check-up with her pediatrician.  He learned that Emma is developing well and meeting all her "goals".  Emma is a tall girl at 29.3 inches.  She weighs in at 17 pounds and 8 ounces.  That is the 75th percentile for length and 35 percentile for weight in comparison to others at her age.

She loves the waiting room toys in the Doctor's office!

As a big,10-month-old she enjoys the following activities:
  • Being little miss independent;
  • Eating whatever her Mom & Pop are having for breakfast, lunch, and dinner;
  • Playing with blocks;
  • Putting toys away into a box, laundry basket, etc.;
  • Giving high fives;
  • Waving hello and sometimes goodbye to everyone, including strangers;
  • Enjoying the March madness beautiful weather that New England has had;
  • Sleeping on her belly;
  • Sleeping through the night (I am totally jinxing that one);
  • Not sleeping on airplanes;
  • Crawling (a post on this soon);
  • Smiling with a scrunched-up, cute, little nose that makes you crack up laughing;
  • Mimicking her Mom and Pop by giggling when they giggle;
  • Discovering sounds that she makes, such as baby babbles or smacking her lips together;
  • Starting to mimic movements; and
  • Getting frustrated, shaking her head & fists, and making grunting noises.

I love that squishy nose smile! She sounds like a social butterfly - waving at strangers! Too too cute! XOXO, Emma!
