Snow Crazy

We have been going a little snow crazy over here.  The littles have enjoyed the white stuff.  Emma has impressed me by how long she stays outside, or how falling down doesn't bother her, or how she loves snow shoeing.  Seems like things a kid wouldn't enjoy for long, but she does great.  Isla is still learning to use her two feet on dry land, so walking around on the snow is a little difficult for her.  She enjoys hanging out in the Ergo carrier and is a trooper about being carried around while Mama is snow shoeing.

Typical of this time of year, our social calendar is a little stale.  This, combined with the snow, has caused us to get a major dose of cabin fever!!!  We have had to be really creative to come up with fun, indoor activities.  Last weekend, we had a beach party in the tub and went camping in the living room.

Here are some photos of use going snow crazy!

Swinging during one of the first snow storms when you could
find the swings. See video below where you barely see them.

"You expect me to prance around in this?"

Face first in the snow and comes up with a huge smile!

Mama and Isla blazing a snow shoe trail.

Emma likes to stick to the trails when snow shoeing.

The house blanketed in snow.

During a recent snow storm, the girls enjoyed beach fun in the tub.

"I'm so strong!"

She totally got the camera wet, but it was worth it.

Enjoying a snow slide made by her Papa.

"Camping" in the living room and roasting marshmallows.

Here are a couple of videos of snow fun.  The first is of Emma, Isla, and I emerging from one of the snow shoe trails around the house (we do laps).  The second is of Emma swinging on her swing, but only after Seth dug it out.  Watch the video and you'll see why!
