A New England Family Vacation

We spent a week at Merrymeeting Lake with Emma’s Grandpa and Pepere and “surprise” Aunt Lindsay came to visit. I say “surprise” because it was supposed to be one, but in true form Lindsay was too excited and spilled the beans!!! Ha!

It was such a relaxing vacation filled with lots of quality time. Emma’s favorite activities included:

• Swimming in the lake with her Mom and Pop;
• Songs with made up words from Grandpa;
• Massages from Grandpa;
• Lots of loving from Aunt Lindsay;
• Cuddle and photo sessions with Aunt Lindsay;
• Chit-chatting with Pepere;
• Quality time with Pepere;
• Early morning walks with her Pop;
• Bottles from her Pop and Grandpa;
• Debuting her bathing suits;
• Play date with Samantha Smart and Juliana Gaffney;
• Bathing in the kitchen sink;
• Taking her first shower;
• Helping make family dinners with her Mom and Pop;
• Watching the family play Phase 10;
• Napping so that her Mom and Pop could play in the water; and
• Sweating her little bum off in the high humidity.

Her least favorite activity included being splashed by a big wave while getting her toes wet in the lake.

We had a wonderful time and look forward to this being an annual family tradition… hopefully! Some photographs of all the fun are included at the link below.
