Christmas

Christmas celebrations started in the beginning of December with a trip to California - more on that later.  With work travel taking up the rest of December, we had a very limited time to get ready for the holiday.  The kids were troopers, even when a stomach bug hit the household.  Here are some photos of us scrambling to to prepare for Christmas and celebrating the holiday.

On our way to cut down a Christmas tree, with a
trusty throw-up bowl just-in-case.

This is the tree!

Patient zero was in the clear and had fun hiking around the tree farm.

"Helping" put ornaments on the tree, in her own
special way.

#SoosFamilySelfie in front of our decorated tree - what an accomplishment!

These girls have so many Christmas outfits, they
wore festive clothes for a week straight!  Isla's shirt
says "Dear Santa, I can explain."  Very fitting for the
girl who prefers standing on chairs and tables.

Emma is so helpful in the kitchen.  This year she buttered and
rolled her own butterhorn rolls - a "secret" family recipe!

The girls hanging out with their favorite Uncle George on Christmas Eve.

Before bed, Emma wanted to set out cookies and milk
for a jolly old man.  She was so excited.

It was a Christmas miracle!  The girls slept until 7 am on 12/25.
Here they are in a dog pile on Papa!

Posed and ready to tear into the Christmas presents.

Emma enjoyed playing with all of her gifts and Isla's!

And eating chocolate.

Comparing handprints at Peeka & Pepere's.

Another comparison - they are getting so big.

A Dage / Lemieux / Soos family selfie at Christmas dinner.

Isla enjoyed watching the fire at Grandma & Grandpa Soos' house.
