We had a great time in California enjoying the beautiful weather, hanging out with some of our favorite people, and enjoying some time away from the daily grind. The girls did well with the air travel. Emma was a rockstar; she watched movies and ate snacks the whole time. Isla earned her new nickname, Alligator Baby, while on the airplane. "Its like wrestling with an alligator." -Seth commenting on caring for Isla while in flight. Despite that comment, she actually did great. However, Seth and I did stay busy keeping her entertained and confined to our row of seats. Gone are the days of relaxing reading and naps on planes.
While in California, we got to witness my sister graduate from Nursing School - such a huge accomplishment, I couldn't be prouder. We spent some time at Disneyland, at the beach, and our old stomping grounds, Huntington Beach. I think Isla's favorite activity was playing her best bud, Everly, and in the waves at the beach. A runner up is probably eating birthday cake -
Happy Birthday Isla. Disneyland stole Emma's heart for the second year in the row. She won't stop talking about meeting princesses and riding the roller coaster. For Mama and Papa, it was all the delicious food and amazing company. We always pack it in (food and visits) while in Cali.
