When Emma arrived in May 2011, our cat's "space" was moved to the basement. Emma's Papa bought a new basement door (preserving the old for when we sell the house) and cut a hole in it giving Lily the Cat the access she needed. This little opening is very exciting for Emma. She is startled and jumps in place when Lily unexpectedly bounces through the door. And lately, she has become very interested in seeing what is on the other side of the door. Especially when her Mama or Papa have traveled into the basement. As soon as we start up the stairs towards the first floor, we are greeted with a warm "Hi" and big smile from Emma who is usually waving through the door.

This might be my favorite post yet!!! I live the mini door with her cute face in it! It's like she thinks there's and adventure on the other side of it like the Chronicle of Narnia style! Too cute!!!
