16 Months

Emma is now 16 months old!  She is a growing girl.  As a 16-month-old, she has been enjoying the following activities:

• Picking her nose, a habit she picked up at daycare;
• Taking a couple steps on her own between her Mama and Papa (still not standing on her own);
• Wearing some smaller 18-month clothes;
• Teething - three molars and two regular teeth are making an appearance (those molars look so tough coming through the gums!);
• Fussing - the teeth are effecting her mood and she has had a rough time at daycare (and home) recently;
• Playing with her hair when she falls asleep;
• Eating everything and anything - her latest favorite snack is trail mix;
• Actively mimicking her Mama and Papa - she is learning things so quickly;
• Exploring the town of Ogunquit in Maine - her first trip to Maine;
• Finger painting on construction paper, herself, Mama, her table, the floor, and Lily;
• Saying new words like milk, bubbles, Mama, Papa, Lily, belly, and hat;
• Screaming "MILK" over and over and pointing to Mama's breasts as we did our grocery shopping (oh the joys of nursing a toddler!);
• Enjoying a special visit and extra XOXO's from Great Aunt Kris and Gigi;
• Saying "Bye Gigi" when exchanging goodbyes with Great Aunt Kris and Gigi;
• Enjoying movie nights at home and at Grandpa and Pepere's;
• Watching the Patriots game on Football Sunday; and 
• Having fun at a play date with older kids who ran in circles around her (she "ran" while holding onto Mama's hands).
