Grandma Shelar came to visit and take care of Emma for a week (woohoo, see you later daycare!). Emma had oh-so-much fun with Grandma!!!! And Mama and Papa took advantage of the free childcare and had a much needed quality time / winter vacation. Win-win-win for all!!!
Here are some of the activities Emma enjoyed with Grandma last week:
- Giggling, a lot;
- Visiting some of Grandma's friends;
- Being taught how to peel a Cutie (brand of mandarins);
- Learning how to count;
- Being introduced to a new potty doll;
- Learning how to feed the new "baby" and change its diapers;
- Having a party when Emma or "baby" went to the bathroom on the potty;
- Going to the library for "blocks and books" story time;
- Playing with all the new toys at the library, including the oversized stuffed animals;
- Enjoying some corn fritters at the Old Mill restaurant;
- Wearing new headbands from Grandma;
- Snuggling with her new stuffed animal, Birdie (also accidentally referred to as duckie and chicken by Mama);
- Making cookies;
- Being spoiled by Grandma (<3);
- Exploring the Museum of Science;
- Playing with all her new toys from Grandma (stickers, party hats, window decals, Birdie, baby, etc.);
- Getting ready for Saint Patrick's Day;
- Celebrating Papa's birthday; and
- Becoming addicted to cookies (let's be honest, she kind of already was).
Here are some photographs of Emma hanging out with Grandma.

if I had some of his yogurt?" |

| "Kiss me, Grandma; I'm Irish!!!" |

"My babies and I are having a party because...
I don't remember. More cookies please!!!" |
 |
"Grandma, you can put anything on my head,
as long as you keep the cookies coming." |
