12 weeks, the maximum Family Medical Leave Act time allotted to a new mother. 12 weeks, twice as much time as disability leave given to a new mom. 12 weeks, seems like a lot before you leave work, before you have kids, or if you are any one of my co-workers. 12 weeks, is no where near enough time once you have children. I don't know what the magic number is, but 12 weeks just doesn't feel like enough for this "working mom".
Missing my littles today as I get used to this new normal.
So lucky to have my mother-in-law, Grandma Soos, taking care of Isla for the week. She is helping transition Isla into daycare and get her used to someone other than Mama. Grandma Soos travels two hours a day to make it happen! Returning to work has been easier knowing Isla is in such good hands.
