A Princess Ballerina Birthday

Emma had very specific requests for her birthday party this year.  She wanted a princess ballerina party.  She needed a cake, not cupcakes.  She requested pizza, "but not the kind that mama makes, let's order it."  And she wanted the pizza topped with bugs and coffee.  Don't know where that last request came from.  It took a village (Thanks Grandma Shelar, Grandma and Grandpa Soos, Laura and Martje, and Peeka and Pepere), but I think we were able to spoil her and meet all of her "demands".  She was a happy birthday girl.

Here are some photos of Emma enjoying her birthday celebration at the end of May.

Both girls enjoyed the birthday decorations -
there was so much pink!

Emma posed with her birthday cake (the ballerina princess cake)
and her ballerina cupcakes - good thing Grandma Shelar is a
wonderful baker!!!

Emma's friend Samantha enjoying some sweets!

Emma and her friends Liora and Colton enjoyed
pizza at her new picnic table - Thanks Pepere!

While singing "happy birthday" Emma interrupted to let everyone
know that in addition to her birthday cake she also wanted a lollipop.
So much sugar!!!!!!

Enjoying her ballerina princess birthday cake -
it was beautiful, plus it tasted delicious!

Opening gifts with Grandma Shelar and her girls (Grandpa and
Grandma Soos' foreign exchange students - she is really going to
miss them when they leave this summer.)

Opening so, so, so many birthday gifts!
Next year we are going to ask for donations to charity.  :)

Even Isla enjoyed the ballerina princess festivities!
