Treats

If you read this blog, it is no surprise that Emma loves her BFF, Lily the Cat.  I've had multiple posts about their budding relationship.  Recently, one of Emma's favorite activities is giving Lily her cat treats.  Emma's Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for giving treats includes the following steps:

1. Find Lily.
2. Say "tweets, tweets, tweets".
3. Repeat Step #2 until Mama and/or Papa acknowledge it is treat time.
4. Get the container of treats from pantry.
5. Find Lily again.
6. Shake the treats container to let Lily know treats are coming.
7. Say "tweets, peas" to have Mama or Papa open the container of treats.
8. Put treats in Lily's food dish.
9. Find Lily and instruct her to go to the food dish.
10. Stand near Lily's dish for moral support while Lily eats her treats.
11. Pat or cuddle Lily while she is eating treats.
12. Expect unconditional love from Lily.
13. Go back to Step #1.
