Making Art

Grandpa and Grandma Soos got Emma an easel for Christmas and she loves it!  It has a chalkboard which is used on a daily basis.  She will stand at it and draw straight lines using the chalk.  Or sometimes we write messages on the board - "Emma loves her Papa" and draw pictures around it.  Oh and she loves to erase the chalkboard using her eraser.  She has been really good about limiting the chalk use to the chalkboard, but on occasion we catch her walking over to the wall or coloring on the side of the easel.  We are quick to steer her back to the board.

On the other side of the easel is a place to paint or draw on paper.  Emma uses paint and paint brushes to draw even more straight lines (she is really good at those!).  Here are a few photos of Emma making art!

Concentration brings out the tongue!

"It takes a lot of determination to paint these
vertical lines."
"Making art is fun!"

She loves her easel so much she tries to climb it!
