Toys

Emma is quite playful these days.  She really enjoys her toys.  And she has a lot of them!  She plays with each one differently and can be very particular about them.  Here are a few examples of Emma's toy-playing habits:
  • While playing with her three little pigs and a wolf toy she has to kiss each of the figurines before she puts them away.
  • She loves playing with her baby dolls and her stuffed animals.  She will hold them, swaddle them, rock them, and give them a pacifier.  When she is done, they all have to be placed in her recliner.
  • While playing with her hammer toy, she will share the hammer with you (but in return she needs a high five).
  • She likes to push her babies around on her lady bug scooter.
  • Puzzles are for tearing apart.  She isn't a big fan of putting them back together.  But she loves to tell you where they go (Miss Bossypants!) and is generally 90% right.
  • She will play with tractors, trucks, and cars (all called "cars") for what seems like forever, as long as they click when she drags them towards her - if they don't then she'll move onto the next one.
  • She loves playing with magnets!!!  She takes them off the refrigerator  puts them on the floor, then puts them back on the fridge - then repeat, and repeat, and repeat...
  • Anything resembling a phone is worth talking into.  Even the old toy phones - the ones with cords that no one has anymore!  How does she know that???  Cell phones are her favorite; and if they play music, an added bonus!!!
  • Playing with her felt taco (and other play foods) involves taking the condiments out, then putting them back in, taking them out, putting them in, etc.
  • She doesn't leave her pets out of playtime.  She will gather the cat toys and put them on top of Lily or GC (Grandpa and Grandma Soos' cat).
Here are a few of her favorite toys:

Battle scars on her hammer toy.

Pushing "bunny" around on "ladybug" - original names!!  :)

Playing with "cars".

Magnets, a toy you can find in most houses!

"Call me maybe!"

Eating her felt play taco.

And no playtime is complete without Emma's concentration face:

Definitely one of my favorite posts ever! She probably knows about the original looking phone from doctors visits or day care! Funny how she's always absorbing information like a sponge! Love the high five she makes you give her!!! XOXO
