Oh my goodness. Miss Emma was quite the comedian this weekend and didn't even know it. We headed to a sit-down, fast food chain restaurant where we expected crappy food but got so much more. Emma ended up taking home the Oscar for best comedic performance. Here's why...
It all started when Papa took Emma to the bathroom to wash up for dinner. As soon as she sat back down in her booster seat next to Papa, she loudly started accusing him of pooping his pants. She would point to him and scream "Papa poops" then point to his pants. This went on and on. All the while she would hold her nose and grunt/hiss indicating how bad it smelled. She was sooooo serious.
We couldn't smell anything. Nothing. Not even the pregnant lady (me) with super senses could smell the supposed "poop". The restaurant smelled a little odd, but nothing unbearable. We were very confused.
Her accusations did not stop. We tried to distract her from this embarrassingly loud announcement, but nothing helped. She continued yelling about how "Papa pooped his pants." Finally, in tears from laughter, I asked her if she wanted to move her seat to be away from Papa. She gladly accepted and moved to the other side of the table. From the other side, she ate her dinner peacefully. She would occasionally stop, point at Papa, and talk about how he pooped his pants. One time she even accused me of pooping my pants.
I don't know where this craziness came from, but it had both Seth and I laughing hysterically, despite her very serious demeanor. Here is a moment captured right before Emma's accusations started. I hope you enjoy this week's photo and the associated story.
