A Farm with Ice Cream?!?!

We live in farm country.  Lots of small, privately-owned farms.  We routinely shop at a farm for fresh produce, eggs, and meat.  And our commute consists of passing by lots of farms and farm stands.  While on the road, Emma can even pick out a "Parm" (or Farm in Emma talk) simply by the features she sees from her window!

A couple of weeks ago, we visited a special farm.  One right next to Grandpa and Grandma Sooses house, called the Carter and Stevens Farm.  This farm is special because not only do they sell produce but they also sell ICE CREAM!  Their own homemade ice cream.  Delicious.  (Why don't the farms around us do this?!?!?)  Emma and I highly recommend the Freedom of Espresso and Strawberry flavors, respectively.

We have visited this farm twice with Grandpa and Grandma.  Both times we've enjoyed ice cream and fresh produce.  The latest trip we also took a tour of some of the animals at the farm.  A fun day trip with the little one in tow.  We will definitely be going back there!

Here are some fun photos of our time at the Carter and Stevens Farm:

"Grandpa and Grandma, before my mom starts buying vegetables,
can you make sure I get a cup of ice cream?"

Checking out the baby chicks in the Chicken Coop.

Feeding the baby goats with Grandpa.  Actually,
Grandpa would feed the goats, Emma would throw
the feed at the goats' heads.

Getting to know her buddy Mr. Goat.  "We are cool if you don't lick me."
