Apple Picking

It is the New England thing to do this time of year.  If you log onto Facebook, everyone with kids is posting about apple picking.  So of course we had to go too.  It is an easy thing for us to do - less than 10 minutes from the house are a couple of orchards to choose from.  We ended up at Windy Hill for apple picking, animal viewing, apple pie eating, hay riding, and people watching.  It was a lot of fun for all of us, but especially Emma.  Who, I should mention, is a seasoned professional (she had already been apple picking with Grandpa and Pepere).

Here are some fun pictures of Emma picking apples with her Mama and Papa.

Picking the low-hanging fruit.

She wanted to put all the rotten apples that had
fallen off the trees into our bag.

She had to pick the one from the top of the tree.
Or maybe it was Mama who wanted that one?

Just hanging out and smiling with her favorite Papa in the world.

The three of us riding around on the hay ride - a favorite activity
of Emma's except for when the exhaust blew her direction and she
thought it was "stinky, like a skunk."

Checking out the piglets.  "They go night-night."
Lazy piggies.

Watching a goat while eating an apple.

Here is a video of Emma and Papa rolling down (or across and up) a hill at the Orchard.  I didn't roll given the swollen belly, but it was a lot of fun to watch.  I hope you enjoy too.
