Attachments

Over the last month, Emma has become "attached" to various things (other than just her Mama).  Her recent attachments have included her sippy cup, blankets, stuffed animals (Baby, Bunny, Maison, Pinky, Jake, etc.), pacifiers, etc.  Or a combination of any of those.   Lucky for us (knock on wood), these things are interchangeable - she doesn't appear to have one particular blanket, stuffed animal, or lovey that she HAS to carry everywhere.

When an attachment develops, it could last a few minutes, an hour, or an entire day; but one thing is for sure, when she wakes up the next morning she starts with a new attachment.  Sometimes she is distracted and the attachment is left behind, forgotten, and never replaced.   Other days she can't go anywhere without the attachment.  And sometimes she gets attached to something too big to travel with, we (Emma's Mama and Papa) have to plant another attachment that is smaller and easier to manage.

Here are some recent photos of Emma with her "attachments":

Emma with Bunny and her favorite blanket.

This attachment with Maison was a long one.
They even started to dress alike.

Emma with Bear, an attachment that is twice her size.

"Mom, I'm not going ANYWHERE without
Maison and my sippy cup."
