2-Years-Old

Emma turned two last week.  Oh.  My.  She has had a busy month celebrating her birthday, enjoying parties in California and celebrations at home.  As a two-year-old she is chatty, happy, and independent.  She weighs in at 24 pounds.  Here are some of the activities she has been enjoying:

• Favorite food groups include: mac n cheese, pancakes, birthday cake, and ice cream;
• Being sassy - she often says "NO!" when she really wants something, why you ask = because its sassier than yes;
• Chatting up a storm - half the time we don't know what she is saying, but that doesn't stop her;
• Doing things on her own - brushing her hair, pulling up her pants, taking off her clothes, going up/down stairs, etc.;
• Walking instead of being carried by someone;
• Saying "Cheese!!!" when she sees a camera;
• Being social - she really enjoys her daycare friends (each night we ask her what she did that day and she talks about the babies and names her friends);
• Dancing - something she picked up from her girlfriend Nova;
• Using some birthday gift cards - she picked out a blanket and Barbie toys;
• Picking out her shoes or clothes;
• Refusing to part with her new flip flop sandals from Aunt Lindsay and Uncle Coco;
• Reading books - either being read to or reading them to herself;
• Staring out the window while driving;
• Requesting the window be rolled down while driving;
• Doing headstands and push-ups with her Papa;
• Being silly;
• Going on walks with Mama around the neighborhood - we've been loving the warm weather; 
• Pouting, because she can (usually in the morning, just like her Mama); and
• Helping with chores in and around the house.
