In California, Emma impressed us with her ability to sleep on (or in the vicinity of) her sleeping bag. Once we settled back at home, we set up her new toddler bed. We spent the evening playing with her in it. We took turns putting each other to sleep by patting each other on the back. We read books to her from it. She was thrilled and we were happy she liked it. We laid pillows and thick blankets along side of the bed and wished her luck (keeping our fingers crossed she wouldn't fall off).
In the middle of the first night in her new bed, Seth and I woke from a thump. We ran to her room and found her snoozing on the floor. We put her back in the bed. That first morning, we found her in the middle of her room sleeping on her carpet. Each morning we wonder where we are going to find her. For the first time, this morning we found her sleeping peacefully ON her bed, NOT next to it or across the room from it. Seth captured this week's moment of our sleeping beauty - sleeping in her new bed!

This is so cute! Way to go Emma. You and Shea would get along well. He too likes to fall out of bed and sleep on the floor.
