Dancing

Emma has been dancing for a while; ever since she could sit up at ~5 months.  She learned to dance with her previous sitter and her children.  Music would play and the kids danced around Emma, who was seated at the center of the room.  At the time, Emma danced using her upper body and arms, "bouncing" to the rhythms.

Emma still likes to dance while seated.  She also likes to dance in the car.  She enjoys listening to The River (92.5), just like her Mama.  If she hears a good song, she will dance her head swinging from side to side and clap to the rhythms.

Now that Emma is more upright, standing and leaning against things, she is also dancing while standing.  Once the music is on (a Raffi station on Pandora or simply listening to Papa's tunes on his iPhone) she is dancing.  Dancing while upright consists of shaking her lower body and bouncing with her knees.  This is our (Emma's Mama and Papa) favorite kind of dancing.  We think it is adorable.  Most of the time, you'll even see us join in on the dancing.  It is so cute, you just have too!

Here is a video of Emma dancing upright.
